From the DPM-UIC Chair, in collaboration with the DPMC Foundation, we carry out the measurement of purpose in organizations through the following tools:

PURPOSE 3D. Tool for measuring the experience of purpose in organizations. Based on 15 years of research and more than 230 measurements of companies with measurement scales statistically validated in high-impact scientific journals. The results offer companies predictive indicators, longitudinal measurements, benchmarking comparisons (internal and external) and recommendations for the development of the purpose.

THESAURUS. Analysis and diagnosis of practices in the development of the purpose (purpose levers). It is carried out based on focus groups and interviews with directors, managers and employees of the companies of the Management by Missions Community (DPM), DPMC consultants and academics from the DPM-UIC chair. The report offers benchmarking comparisons and recommendations for continuous improvement. It is updated annually with new practices and learnings.

PURPOSE STRENGTH MODEL. It promotes the research on causal relationships between variables. Developed in collaboration with researchers from IESE and UNAV, it structures the variables of the DPM INDEX under the linear logic of antecedents, implementation and outcomes and incorporates hypotheses about dependent and independent variables.

DPM INDEX. Created in 2012 from a large-scale investigation of 65 companies from different sectors, it promotes the development of measurement scales for the variables that influence the development of the purpose. It includes cultural variables (Values, Unity, Motivation) and key levers for purpose internalization (Strategy, Leadership, Systems, Communication, Knowledge, Identification and Commitment).
