Created in 2012 by UIC Barcelona in collaboration with the DPMC Foundation and collaborating companies, the Chair in Management by Missions and Corporate Purpose researches the relationship between knowledge, motivation, and action in the management of people and organisations.

This approach is represented by the Silver Triangle, a metaphor expressing harmony between the head, heart, and hands. The triangle symbolises the balance and completeness of the three dimensions. Silver, the most conductive metal, represents their interconnection and consistency.

This model encourages leadership from a humanistic, person-centered perspective, where thinking, feeling, and acting are integrated in a meaningful direction.

“This chair aims to be a reference centre on management by missions across the
investigation and transmission of knowledge”
